From our own work: We built Aurelis, a premium real-estate website concept designed around photography, typography and a clear path from listing to viewing request. Read the Aurelis case study.

A theme built for your content, not a demo

Many WordPress sites start with a multipurpose theme and dozens of plugins. A year later, pages load slowly, updates break the layout and nobody remembers which plugin does what. A custom build avoids that. The theme is written for your design and content, and custom Gutenberg blocks give editors the exact sections they need with your brand built in, so pages stay consistent no matter who publishes them.

Functionality that would usually come from several overlapping plugins is written as one small custom plugin that you own. Fewer moving parts means fewer things to update, fewer conflicts and fewer openings for attackers.

Headless WordPress, WooCommerce and hardening

When speed matters most, WordPress can run headless: editors keep the familiar dashboard while visitors see a fast front end built in Next.js. For online stores, WooCommerce development covers custom product types, checkout changes and integrations with shipping, payments and accounting.

Every build includes security hardening and performance work: limited admin access, two-factor sign-in, automatic backups, caching and a sensible update routine. WordPress is a frequent target precisely because it is so widely used, so these basics are not optional.

When WordPress is the right platform

WordPress suits content-driven sites, blogs, publishers and businesses whose team already knows the editor. It is less suited to complex web applications with heavy custom logic, where a dedicated framework is cleaner, or to very simple sites, where a hosted builder may be cheaper to run. If you already have a WordPress site that is slow or fragile, a technical review shows whether it can be repaired or whether a rebuild is the better investment.

After launch, a care plan keeps WordPress core, themes and plugins updated on a schedule, with each update tested on a staging copy first so a bad release never reaches your live site. Uptime monitoring, security scans and off-site backups run in the background, and small content or design changes can be requested without starting a new project. You keep full admin access and ownership of the hosting account throughout.

Frequently asked questions

Can you fix or speed up our existing WordPress site?

Yes. A review identifies which plugins, scripts and hosting settings are slowing the site down or creating security risks. Some sites improve with cleanup alone; others are better rebuilt. You get the findings and a recommendation before any larger work is agreed.

Will we still be able to edit the site ourselves?

Yes, and editing should be easier than before. Custom blocks match your design, so editors pick a section, fill in the content and publish without breaking the layout. A short training session and a written guide are included at handover.

How much does it cost?

Every WordPress Development project is different, so we don't publish a price list. Answer a few questions in our quote builder and you'll get a personalised plan and estimate — compared with market prices and designed around your budget — in about 3 minutes.

Do I own what you build?

Yes. The code, content, accounts and data are yours. No lock-in — leave any time and we'll help you move.
