Website maintenance plans that keep your site patched, backed up and online

A website isn't furniture. Certificates expire, frameworks need patches and hosts go down at 2am. Our monthly partnership plans make that someone's job — with guaranteed response times, reporting and a team that already knows your stack.

From our own work: We built Nexora AI, a concept platform for AI agents that run business workflows, to show how agent-driven products should look and behave. Read the Nexora AI case study.

The work that starts after launch

A website keeps needing attention after it goes live. SSL certificates renew, plugins and frameworks publish security fixes, hosting providers change their platforms and forms quietly stop sending email. None of this is visible until something breaks, usually at an inconvenient moment. A website care plan turns that background risk into someone's actual job.

Each plan covers managed hosting with SSL and a global CDN, professional email on your domain, uptime monitoring with alerts, weekly off-site backups with a 30-day history, monthly security and framework patching, and a set number of development hours you can use for changes.

What happens each month

Patches are applied on a regular schedule and tested on a staging copy before reaching the live site, so an update does not take down your checkout or booking form. Backups are stored separately from the hosting account, which matters if the host itself has a problem. If monitoring detects downtime, an alert goes to the team that already knows your code, rather than to a general help desk.

Your reserved hours cover the small requests that pile up: a new landing page, a pricing change, a broken link, a new staff profile. A monthly report shows what was updated, any incidents and how the hours were used. You also get a single point of contact who knows the history of your site, which shortens every conversation about changes or problems.

Who needs a care plan, and who does not

It suits any business whose website takes bookings, sells products or generates leads, where a day offline has a real cost. It is particularly useful for sites built on WordPress or similar platforms with many plugins.

A very simple static site with no forms or integrations may need little more than reliable hosting. If that describes yours, we will recommend a lighter arrangement. Plans run month to month, so there is no long contract to escape. Before a plan starts, you receive a short onboarding review of your current hosting, backups and plugins, so the first month begins from a known, documented baseline rather than assumptions about how the site was built.

Frequently asked questions

Can you maintain a website you did not build?

Yes. We start with an audit of the code, hosting, plugins and backups, fix anything urgent, and document the setup. Some older sites need a round of updates before they can be maintained safely, and we will explain what that involves before you commit.

What if I need more hours than my plan includes?

Extra work is quoted separately or billed at an agreed rate, with your approval first. If you regularly need more hours, moving to a larger plan is usually more economical than paying for overflow each month.

How much does it cost?

Every Website Care & Maintenance project is different, so we don't publish a price list. Answer a few questions in our quote builder and you'll get a personalised plan and estimate — compared with market prices and designed around your budget — in about 3 minutes.

Do I own what you build?

Yes. The code, content, accounts and data are yours. No lock-in — leave any time and we'll help you move.
