From our own work: We built Archon, an architecture and construction studio concept, as a showcase of brand, layout and motion design. Read the Archon case study.

Design for software people use every day

Product design is different from marketing design. A homepage gets a few seconds of attention, while a dashboard might be open for eight hours. The goal is clarity under repeated use: screens that show the right information at the right moment, flows that do not make people think about the software instead of their work, and patterns that stay consistent as features are added.

Our product design work suits SaaS companies, internal tools and customer portals where a confusing interface shows up as support tickets, churn or training time.

Research, flows, screens and a system

Work usually begins by talking to users, or reviewing recordings and support logs if interviews are not possible. From there we map information architecture and key flows, then move into wireframes and high-fidelity interface design. Prototypes are tested with real users before development, because fixing a flow in Figma costs far less than fixing it in code.

Alongside the screens we build a design system and component library, so new features reuse existing patterns. Developer handoff includes specs, states, edge cases and empty screens, and design QA during build checks that the shipped product matches what was approved. Throughout the project you see work in short cycles rather than one large reveal. Each week brings something to react to, whether a revised flow, a tested prototype or a set of finished screens, which keeps product managers, engineers and stakeholders aligned and reduces the risk of late surprises. Decisions and their reasoning are recorded alongside the designs, so new team members can understand why a pattern exists before proposing changes to it.

Who benefits, and when to wait

It suits early-stage products preparing for a wider launch, mature products with growing design debt, and teams adding a major feature that touches many screens. A focused engagement can run two to six weeks. Larger redesigns are phased.

If you have not yet confirmed that anyone wants the product, a lightweight prototype to test demand is a better first step than a polished interface. Testing a rough version first keeps design investment matched to evidence.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with our in-house developers?

Yes. Many product design engagements hand off to an existing engineering team. We work in your tools, join planning sessions where useful, and provide specs and component documentation in a format your developers can build from directly.

What if we cannot recruit users for research?

We can start from the data you have: support tickets, session recordings, analytics and sales call notes. Lightweight usability tests with five or so people from your network can also reveal the biggest problems. Some research is far better than none.

Can you redesign an existing product without disrupting users?

Yes, by changing it in stages. We prioritise the flows causing the most friction, introduce new patterns gradually and keep familiar navigation where it works, so existing users are not forced to relearn everything at once.

How much does it cost?

Every Product Design project is different, so we don't publish a price list. Answer a few questions in our quote builder and you'll get a personalised plan and estimate — compared with market prices and designed around your budget — in about 3 minutes.

Do I own what you build?

Yes. The code, content, accounts and data are yours. No lock-in — leave any time and we'll help you move.
