Systems for law firms, not legal services

Flowmatix builds technology for law firms and in-house legal teams. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Our work covers credible firm websites with practice-area pages, secure online client intake, conflict-check workflows, document assembly and automation, integrations with practice management software such as Clio, and AI tools configured with confidentiality safeguards.

Projects start with how your firm actually takes on work: which practice areas matter most, how inquiries arrive today, who screens them and where matters get stuck. A family law practice, a corporate boutique and an immigration firm have very different intake needs and document sets. We build around those differences, using your precedents, terminology and approval steps, so lawyers and staff recognise the process instead of adapting to someone else's idea of how a firm should run.

From first inquiry to first draft

A prospective client's first contact usually happens on your website. Clear practice-area pages explain what you handle and who you help, then a secure intake form collects the right facts for that matter type, without inviting people to send confidential details before a retainer exists. Submissions can feed a conflict-check step against your existing client and party records, and only then create a matter in your practice management system.

Document automation works from your own precedents. Templates for engagement letters, routine agreements or court forms are built with conditional logic, so answering a short questionnaire produces a draft for a lawyer to review. AI tools, such as summarising long documents or searching your firm's knowledge, are set up so client data is not used to train models and access follows your firm's permissions. Projects typically take four to ten weeks.

Professional obligations come first

Lawyers have duties around confidentiality, advertising and the competent use of technology, set by their law society. We build with those in mind, but your firm decides how the tools are used and should confirm compliance with its regulator's guidance.

This work suits small and mid-size firms with repeat matter types and legal teams handling high volumes of similar documents. Practices built around bespoke, one-off work will gain less from document automation.

Frequently asked questions

Do you integrate with Clio?

Yes. Clio and several other practice management platforms offer APIs, so intake submissions can create contacts and matters, and generated documents can be filed to the right matter. We confirm the exact connection for your platform during scoping.

Is it safe to use AI with client files?

It can be, with the right setup: business-grade AI services that do not train on your data, access limited by role, logging, and lawyer review of every output. Your firm should still assess each tool against its law society's guidance on technology and confidentiality.

How much does it cost?

Do I own what you build?

Yes. The code, content, accounts and data are yours. No lock-in — leave any time and we'll help you move.
