From our own work: We built Pulse, a fitness membership and coaching platform concept with member accounts, programs and a progress dashboard, to show how app products should look and behave. Read the Pulse case study.
3D and AR without an app download
Asking a shopper to install an app just to preview a sofa loses most of them at the download screen. WebAR runs in the phone's browser instead: tap a button on the product page, point the camera, and the item appears in the room at true scale. On desktop, the same model becomes an interactive 3D viewer the customer can rotate and zoom.
Configurators go a step further, letting buyers change colours, materials and options and see the result instantly. They are useful for furniture, equipment, vehicles and anything made to order.
The work behind 3D that loads quickly
Most of the effort in web 3D is invisible. Models from CAD files or 3D scans are usually far too heavy for a phone, so they are cleaned up, simplified and compressed until they load over mobile data and still look right. Lighting and materials are tuned so fabric looks like fabric and metal looks like metal.
Where the browser is not enough, native mobile AR uses ARKit on iPhone and ARCore on Android for features such as precise surface tracking. VR walkthroughs and training experiences are built for headsets when the use case calls for full immersion.
Where AR and VR earn their cost
Immersive experiences make the most sense where buyers struggle to judge size, fit or finish from photos, or where training in the real setting is expensive or unsafe. Property walkthroughs, industrial training and configurable products are typical examples. If your products are simple and well understood from a photo, good photography and clear product pages will likely do more for less. A scoping conversation will tell you which side of that line you are on.
Deliverables include the optimised 3D models in standard formats you can reuse elsewhere, the viewer or AR feature embedded in your site or app, and analytics showing how often customers open it. Those numbers help decide whether to extend 3D to more of your catalogue or keep it to the products where it makes a clear difference to buying decisions.

Frequently asked questions
Do customers need a special app or headset?
Not for WebAR. It runs in the browser on modern iPhones and Android phones. Headsets are only needed for full VR experiences such as training simulations or immersive walkthroughs, and those projects are scoped with that hardware in mind.
What do you need from us to start?
Product dimensions and good reference photos at minimum. If you already have CAD files or 3D models, those speed things up, though they usually need optimising before they perform well on the web.
How much does it cost?
Every AR/VR Development project is different, so we don't publish a price list. Answer a few questions in our quote builder and you'll get a personalised plan and estimate — compared with market prices and designed around your budget — in about 3 minutes.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. The code, content, accounts and data are yours. No lock-in — leave any time and we'll help you move.
